Frequency Domain System Identification Toolbox Extension
Novelties since toolbox version 2.0.3
-
Graphical User Interface.
-
Action Recorder to make GUI-based demos and tests.
-
Smooth transfer of models to the Control System Toolbox via objects.
-
Automatic model scan. This allows a completely automatic modeling procedure
so that even unfamiliar users can get reasonable models. This can be an
important advantage in thecompetition with any other modeling package.
-
Incorporation of orthogonal polynomials into the identification scheme.
This allows the user to handle high-order resonant systems, like mechanical
systems in modal analysis. A user request since years.
-
Dealing with transients in the measured signals. Up to now only periodic
signals were properly handled in the frequency domain.
-
Simpler and more logical alternative command-line call forms. The earlier
forms still stem from Matlab 3.5, they are somewhat awkward and even frightening
for some users.
Examples for usage are given on a separate page.
Remark:
because of the use of the new functionalities, this version runs under
Matlab version 5.2 and higher.
A detailed description of the GUI and of the objects is readable in
an
HTML
document. For printing, zipped
postscript pages of the paper are also available (very large postscript
files!).
There is no separate printed manual for the Extension. It is fully compatible
with the commercially distributed version of the Toolbox, so the functionalities
of the individual functions can be studied there. The new, simple function
call forms are given by the command
fdhelp,
the GUI contains extensive on-line helps,
and the objects also have their own on-line
help.
